Contract

Demands:
Everyone is welcome!

We do neither have demands for minimum space of your home/garden nor your social status. We believe that having a dog is a mutual pleasure for both parts.
But let’s make our selves clear, we will do much to find the right home for every puppy in our litter. Our puppies will go through a test at the age of 7 weeks. That test will tell us something about the puppy’s physique and mentality. With that material in our hands, we have the possibility to find the right family, both for the puppy, but indeed also for its new family. Unfortunately some people feel tempted to get a dog/puppy for the sake of the children......something we can’t recommend in our kennel. The choice of a dog, its care and needs, will ALWAYS be the adult responsibility. Everyone in the family, especially the adults, should agree on having a dog, is something you look forward to have for a long time. Remember - do your best to give this new member a meaningful life.

Contract:
When the puppy, buyer and breeder agrees on who goes to whom, we will make and sign the contract. You will as a puppy buyer from our kennel get a small briefcase incl. the pedigree. The briefcase contains relevant information regarding feed, vaccination, flea treatment, puppy growing up, advice and guidance to give you both a good start. All our puppies will have a microchip or tattoo as identification.

It’s not possible to buy a show dog from our kennel, as long as we are talking puppies. The reason why……there’s too many factors playing with the finally result, briefly we can mention; Anatomy, coat, bite, for males two apparently normal testicles etc. But of course, we will give you good advice and guidance, but we can’t guarantee it turns out as a show dog.

A good start:

Having your first puppy? – It’s very important to concentrate on, what does this mean for you, the dog and it’s new environment. Getting a puppy, will bring new task for the daily matter….it takes time. A puppy do not only need the feeling of safety and care – there has to be lot of time for reasonable activities together and to it’s new pack.

Read ; Before getting a dog, you should have following in consideration  - Read also below, about the dogs mentality, which bring you some knowledge on how a small puppy will react in different steps on its growth. Enter your selves ASAP for puppy training, by that, you and your puppy will have a good start getting in contact with other dogs, people and children. Bring the puppy new challenge, but take it slow, be aware of the puppy’s reaction to new things – Remember it has to be funny to be taught. Do not bring the puppy in situations which can horrify it, it has to be a good experience to discover how colourful the world is ;o)

Mentality and care of a Cardi?

Welsh corgi, are devoted and protective, has good working skills, alert, active and intelligent, with steady temperament. Cardi’s love to have some task whatever it’s just a family dog or working dog. However, if a Cardigan, like most other herding dogs, does not have a job to do, it can become destructive. Usually the Cardi gets along well with children, it’s important to socialite the puppy early. They are not difficult to train because of their high intelligence and quick learning ability. The Cardigan's coat is all-weather and generally clean and odourless. It is best if brushed once a week to remove dead hair. Like most dogs, they does shed roughly twice a year; in keeping with there moderate coat, the amount isn't extreme. Cardi’s affectionately known as "a big dog in a small package”.

Welsh corgi Cardigan:

Cardigan Welsh corgi is among the oldest of all herding breeds, originally coming only in brindle and red. Eventually, through crossbreeding with collies, the colours of the Cardi grew to include tricolour and blue merle. The breed was often called "yard-long dogs" in older times. Today's name comes from their area of origin, Cardiganshire, Wales….In 1200 B.C. the Celts of central Europe travelled to south Wales, bringing their dogs. Originally used only as a farm guardian, they eventually took on the traits of a cattle drover, herder, and many more. The small size is an asset in the Corgi's style of droving. It nips the heels of the cows and when they kick in retaliation, it drops to the ground to avoid the flying heels. The little dog is fearless seemingly unaware that it is so small. They are still highly valued for their herding, working, and guarding skills, as well as their companionship.
